Hi everyone. First off, if there's another subreddit I should be posting this in, let me know, but I don't really know where else to go.
I'm an artist. About six months ago, someone approached me, looking to commission several paintings, which I did, offering to pay me quite a bit more than I usually charge, so of course I agreed. He said he needed them for a larger project, and so to get an idea of what he wanted, I asked him about it, but he wouldn't say much. He seemed mostly interested in getting the paintings pretty quickly, so I came up with some concepts, and he just loved everything across the board. I finished two paintings and delivered them, and he loved them, cut me a check, and commissioned more, again, without giving me hardly anything to go on. In fact, when he looked at the paintings (I delivered them in person) he just said, great, great, looked at them maybe two minutes, and that was it.
Now, I don't know how relevant it is, but he's from the Middle East, Yemen, I think, and hasn't been in the states very long, even though he doesn't have an accent, and seems like he has a ton of money, but doesn't strike me as a businessman. I think maybe his parents have a lot of money? But for the life of me I can't figure out what he wants with my paintings.
Right now I'm thinking I'll just not look into it and enjoy the paychecks. But I don't want to get in trouble down the line, either.
What should I do?
