We are supposed to get our basement sprayfoamed next week. We already have framing in place for a good portion of the basement, but we are not planning on framing and finishing the laundry room. The concrete wall (half below grade) will just be sprayfoamed and covered in a standard flame retardant. This is the one wall where there is a baseboard heater against the concrete. Currently, it is attached to a thin piece of wood, which is nailed into the concrete. What do we do about this? Take it off (including the wood), have it all spray foamed, and then nail another piece of wood in over top the spray foam so we can attach the baseboard heater? What if the heater touches the foam (even with the flame retardant)? Would it start a fire?Or build a small frame, and once everything is sprayed, reattach the heater?Any ideas? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2iumL1v
