Was looking at a new car, typically I pay cash, however this time the car was a little more then I wanted to pay cash wise, and figured it's be better getting a short term loan and paying off early if I felt the need.

Well my credit score wasn't the best some months ago and I've went through hell to repair it, getting a charge off deleted and some other things. It had been well over 6 months, my latest report didn't show any of this. The dealership ran my credit with 48 different banks

That's 48 new hard inquiries which took me from a 712 down to 668 (ouch!). The sales manager brought me this loan (19%, 3 years) and said I'd get a better offer if my credit was better (knew it was 712 and kinda laughed).

Now before hand I had said if the bank says no I don't want to get a loan, the bank said no 47 times apparently and he kept going.

The only resources I've found is writing a letter to each bank requesting it to be removed. Is there a better method to this? Also I've learned in the process it'd been smarter getting a loan upfront and not going through the dealerships department.
