I have had a cell phone provided for me at work for the past three years. Which is amazing, not having to pay for a phone or worry about a monthly bill. However, I'll be leaving this job in January for a career change and will go from a good paycheck to being a full-time student. Here's my question: is there any benefit for me to pay for my new cell phone in monthly payments, as I know many cell phone providers offer, vs buying it outright at the beginning of my plan? (I can't imagine there is, but want to ask the pros - you!)
