So I have gotten myself into a bind and I figured I would ask here because you all seem to know what you're talking about.

Basically, I am 24 years old and im a recovering heroin addict. I left university with 2 credits remaining on my bachelors. I owe roughly $3,000 on four different credit cards, that I took out while under the influence of a lot of substances.

I have some debt from university, which my family is helping me pay for.

I havent paid a single rent payment so far as my family has helped with all of that.

Currently I am working a $15 job in retail 40 hrs a week; I did have a job as a paralegal in a different city, when I lived with my ex making $50,000 (combined ~$100,000), but I lost that because of my addiction.

I currently dont have health insurance as I was insured under my paralegal job and I quit and I am not sure how to get insured under my parents or if I should just pay for my own.

I am living in a sober house now, but I have to leave in thirty days; I picked the city I currently live in for its sober community, but I do not really want to stay here as the job market isnt the best here (its more of a vacation tourism town and really far from my friends and family).

I spoke with my family and they said that they would help set me up, by paying my rent and security deposit, to move somewhere new where I want to live.

I was thinking it would be a good idea to move back home and live with my family while I pay off my debts, finish school, and try to save for a move to somewhere I want to live that has a lot of options for careers and possibly a good law school, as I want to go to law school.

My family does not really want me living at home again as they feel that its a bad influence for me, which I disagree with.

So the options would be, stay here, which is the least desirable. Move home, which my family doesnt really want (unless I get an apartment near my home that they pay for temporarily, which may help because theyd be closeby to help). Or, pick a new city that I want to live in that is frugal to live in.

I dont have a budget. And I live paycheck to paycheck at the moment. I am not sure if I should pay off my credit card debt first or if I should save up for a car (the city I live in now relies heavily on cars for transportation). If I should stay where I am, move home and live with my mom, or where I should even start to look for healthy and frugal cities to live in with good job opportunities.

I know finishing school should be the priority, but im not sure the best place to do it, I can finish it online, so I can do it anywhere.

Sorry that this was all over the place, I appreciate any help.
