I am 22 years old and this year me and my Wife got married, moved, started new jobs, and graduated with B.A. Degrees. We have no student loans or debts. We have a 2001 and a 2007 car that are expected to last for a bit and they are paid off.

Monthly Combined Income: $4,200 after taxes.

Rent: $1200

Food: $600

Utilities: $100

Savings: $30,000

I have a more broken down budget, but in general we have been saving $1k-2k a month. We really do not spend much money and I have always been super frugal with my money. I have worked since the day after I turned 16 and was always responsible for any of my payments such as phone, buying a car, insurance, and any other thing I wanted. Me and my wife have a joint savings and each have a credit and debit card. I have a credit score of 750+ currently and pay everything on time and in full. I am looking at getting a job in the next couple years that pays 70k starting and within 6 years it is at 90k+. Also we would then get a house once I get that job.

I will get a working budget soon where I can easier see breakdowns, and currently use mint. With the wedding and moving it was very hard to stay within our budgets and know what to expect.

I currently do not have any investments and was wondering where to start or if I should keep saving and worry about a down payment for a house. My wife will be getting a raise and promotion within the next 2 months which will help a little depending on the amount of the raise. We are also both on our parent's health insurance plans, and once I get the job I plan on, we will both switch on that.
