I'm 20F and will graduate university next June with a BS. I'm planning on taking a nursing program (2 years) after graduation to become an nurse. I only work during the summer and make ~$25k each year, and I will graduate with no debt.
I am currently living with my parents over the summer (4 months). I rent a room in my university town during the school year. My monthly expenses are $700/month while at school, and $0 while at home. So I am saving $2.8k by living with my parents during the summer. I want to move out due to many reasons, and purchase a car.
With $50k currently saved, how should I manage this money? After graduation I will attend nursing school for two years (no summer) and potentially be income-less for the two years. I am also worried about saving for retirement.
I am planning on spending about $5k within the next few years for vacation/new phone/new computer. Is that reasonable? I don't spend very much money on entertainment for myself.
