My husband and I are going to a big named furniture store today or tomorrow to get a couch we have been looking at. It's taken a year and a half for us to find one we agree is worth the money.

It comes with a manafactures warranty that lasts a year and doesn't seem to cover that much. We can get their warranty for an extra five which covers a little more. Is this worth it? My gut says get it, but I'm worried that's only because this is an expensive purchase and I'm paranoid. It's a vinyl on the sides and back, and top grain leather everywhere else reclining sofa. We've only ever had "new to us" starter type of couches. So I'm not even sure how we treat this type of couch. Our current ones are falling apart so we aren't the easiest on them. We also have two small dogs who are happily allowed on the couches.

Also, any suggestions when going in? I already asked if they would give us a package deal and they said no. We did the whole ok leaving to go look elsewhere talk and nothing. So I suspect Havertys doesn't negotiate or we aren't asking the right questions.
