I'm looking to rip up the carpet on our stairs and add some new flooring. It'll either be laminate flooring or just some new oak treads to replace the existing pine treads under the carpet. My big problem is how do I actually install this flooring without destroying my spindles. My stairs are set up like this, but with carpet. So, there's no way of going around them.Any thoughts on ways to do this? Are there ways to remove the spindles/banisters without damaging them? I'm doing the rest of the flooring myself and don't feel like having to pay someone just do the stairs. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tp1582
