Hi there, quick question regarding the wiring of UK sockets. I'm trying to replace the socket cover on one of my outlets, but the wiring is odd. There's a two sets of wiring in the one box; a set of both the old (red and black) and new (blue and brown) wiring. To begin with I just tried to replicate the existing wiring (all 3 lives together, all 3 neutrals together and all earths together), but it's not really feasible with that many wires into my new cover due to the size and layout of it (not very well designed in my view).My question is this, is it safe to just use one set of wires and is there a safe way of keeping the old set away from everything else?
