Long time lurker using a throw away account. Hopefully I'm posting to the correct sub.
I received a raise at work that was, to me at least, very significant. I was told by my manager that my salary was adjusted due to having good Year-End reviews 2 years in a row, as well as my pre-adjustment salary was not at the 'minimum tier’ of my pay-band.
I have been in my current position for 3 and a half years. My workload and day-to-day tasks have not changed very much.
My question to PF is, am I owed back pay in any form? For such a significant adjustment to occur, there had to be something that wasn’t correct.
I have a email typed up and sitting in my Drafts folder for my manager, but I am very hesitant to send it. I don’t want to come off as ungrateful or appear to be demanding more compensation.
