Hey Reddit,
This might be a better post for /r/relationships or another subreddit, but it's a frugality issue at the heart of it.
My fiance has been married previously, and he spent over two thousand dollars on the last ring, which, personally, makes me wanna throw up, and we can't seem to come to a reasonable number that we're both happy with.
He's suggested that I give him a number, and he'll add two hundred to that number, but personally, I feel that around two hundred is just fine as a baseline.
I don't want to be unreasonable, and logically I know that rings tend to be a more expensive purchase, but I tend to be utilitarian.
What does /r/frugal think?
