I'm a medical student. Liquid Assets <$5,000 (just my car and belongings)
Live with parents Only money in my bank is from loan money for living expenses (all private loans) Have a few thousand in a Roth IRA
What would happen if my coverage didn't cover the amount of damage/etc that occured in an accident? I'm currently carrying liability only as my car is cheap and doesn't necessitate full coverage. I have no assets, so what could someone do in court? Could they still make me pay somehow? Could they garnish future wages? (I won't have a real job (residency) until 2020)
I'm not looking to get some no name insurance company with like $5 of coverage, but i'm not sure I need/should be paying for as high of coverage I have now. I think I'm at $100,000/$300,000 coverage right now
