Hi friends.
I'm a 23 y/o in graduate school on loans. I drive a 2007 Toyota Corolla LE. It currently has ~71,000 miles on it. There haven't been any maintenance issues and I've gone to every single scheduled "check up." I'm not a car person, but my family keeps telling me that my car is at the point where its essentially guaranteed to break down. I've read that Toyotas tend to last much longer than my car already has.
My plan was to get a new car after I graduate in Aug. 2018. I anticipate having a well paying job then and I'm almost certain my car will last. (Edit: not immediately after, just not before)
They're offering to pay, but I believe they have ulterior motives... This isn't r/relationships, so I'll stick to the facts. Does the above scream "this car is about to die" to you?
Thank you.
