First time poster
I'm in Ontario, Canada and noticing my 80+ year old father declining more and more. He's fiercely independent, but starting to exhibit signs of manic behaviour and poor judgment.
He recently forgot my 40th birthday, and today at lunch told my sister and I he gave his drivers license and signature to someone in the grocery store for some sort of points card. This list goes on, but these are two recent examples.
The information is overwhelming as far as opinions. He doesn't have a lot of money, so dedicated care is probably not an option. Has anyone had experience with getting care for their parent? Things to watch out for? Funding sources available?
