I recently moved to a city and am very close to the metro; a block away at work and three away from my apartment. I'd save at least $700/month between my payments, my parking spot, gas, insurance and property taxes. Probably more.
I've got a 2011 Jeep Wrangler that's fairly customized but not an extraordinary amount. It's worth quite a bit more than I currently owe on it but I do still owe on it with a very small bank back home so no easy access to deposit cashiers checks from my phone etc.
What would be the best way of going about getting rid of it? I thought about just getting a newer used car at a dealership or maybe getting a beater for cheap but I'm sure a dealership wouldn't be keen to give me a good deal on that. If I try Craigslist, I think I'd get the most but the bank still holding the title causes problems.
