Made an interesting discovery grocery shopping this morning. Following a recent overhaul of their self-checkout system, Harris Teeter (grocery chain along the east coast) no longer makes you turn in coupons you scan. Formerly (and in most other systems...I think), you'd be required to put your coupons in a slot and the system wouldn't let you proceed til you did. This new system didn't require that (nor did it have a space to place them anyway), thus allowing you to reuse your coupon.
I don't know if this occurs in other stores, but it's definitely something to pay attention to.
