So I was looking at this older thread from here:
It seems the consensus is that, albeit a bit expensive initially, the investment in Seresto collars is the way to go.
Recently moved to rural Georgia and the house had to have an exterminator out prior to my coming to get rid of an existing infestation, and even then, the dog that lives upstairs had a flea found on it yesterday.
My inquiry is this:
Since the expense is so high, and I'm on a tight budget for some time down here while I get situated, my thinking was to get one of the collars for the two cats for 2 reasons:
1) It seems some cats have allergic reactions to them. Before spending $110 on two of them, I want to see how they react to it by getting one at first. They cuddle together and I suppose I could rotate the collar back and forth from both of them in the interim.
2) They're super expensive, but definitely less expensive than dealing with them once they've gotten them.
I know it's ill-advised to use the dog ones on cats because of chemical differences, so I'm not going to do that, but jeez, why can't they be the same price?
If anyone with vet experience is able to chime on on the one collar rotation idea first, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
