Saying special may be an overstatement but the general idea is that I'm looking for a laptop for architectural design purposes - meaning 3d modeling, rendering, photoshop and such. Bear in mind that i need the mobility of the computer while still hoping to achieve the desktop-level performance via an external GPU and a secondary monitor for main working tasks, hence the special requirement listed below:
- budget is around 1000 euros.
- low-profile in design and 15" screen max, build quality if not really important
- i7 quad core processor preferred
- 16gb ram preferred
- must support eGPU - be it thunderbolt 3 or expresscard, this probably means a dedicated GPU is not OK for this set up.
- no need for the quality of trackpad, screen resolution and color accuracy, keyboard, speakers, camera
- SSD is not the most important thing but it'll be nice to have.
- battery life doesnt matter. I will probably carry the charger anyway.
I have looked at quite many models and still cannot decide on which one is the best band for the buck set up that I'm looking for. If someone could recommend a laptop for the above purpose I would really appreciate the help! Thanks!
