I bought some LED candelabra bulbs for my chandelier (this basic shape) that turned out to be a bit larger than I thought (my own fault for not measuring). They're in that weird fake flame shape that makes the bulbs larger than they need to be. My chandelier has 5 slots, and 3 of them fit fine, but 2 of them couldn't fit without getting pushed inward by the top edge of the chandelier.I had a fleeting idea that I could somehow cut off a half inch of the tops of these bulbs to make them fit, but then assumed that it would probably be a terrible idea for any one of a number of reasons.tl;dr- I can't return long chandelier bulbs without paying shipping, and want to know if I can artificially shorten them without making a fire hazard or if my first instinct was right. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2sUU79F
