I want to create my own universal support that can hold a tablet and/or iphone on place. I have all the parts already but I need to build the mechanism that will hold the devices.I imagined something like this.Everything is built with metal. By the image you see a gray base holding a red and a green pieces. The green slides inside the red and has a coil, to force them to be together, forming a grip. The tablet or phone will be horizontally hold by this grip. I am realizing now that probably I will have to use another thing instead of a coil to form the grip because the tablet is much larger compared to the phone and the coil will be too stretched. Anyway I have to imagine something else.RAM have a solution like this but their grips will cost hundreds of dollars including international shipping (I am not in the US) and customs taxes and I was looking for something cheaper that I could do myself.How to you guys would do that?
