I've seen many different companies offering a years supply of freeze dried foods for between $1000 and $1500 a person. Even adding in some fresh foods, snacks, rice & pasta - you're looking at $2000 a year, $167 a month or $39 a week.

There's the convenience of everything being prepped for you - you just have to "assemble" it. You don't have to have a full sized fridge (or any fridge at all if you don't have leftovers) You have a year/months worth of food on hand Grocery shopping can be quick by just sticking to the produce section.

I tried doing some searching but couldn't find anything other than a few people stating that the food would get boring. I've also noticed that some freeze dried foods are higher in sodium & you would have to spend a large amount up front.

Thoughts?
