Hi friends! My apt gets pretty hot during the day (although I close all the shades). When I get back from work I walk through the freezing hallway our building management cools down for us and walk into my hellish hot apartment. The AC takes forever to cool it down (and I don't want to run it during the day).
Leaving the door open seems to help but is not an option due to security and privacy.
However, there is half an inch wide gap under the door that seems to have a cold airflow coming in my unit.
I wonder if it would be possible to get a floor fan and somehow attach it to a duct/hose that I could place along the lower rim of the door to suck in more of that cold air?
Any ideas if that would work and what kind of setup I could hack together for this? I've found air movers connected to a flexible hose as a potential solution but how can I seal a hose around the opening at the bottom of the door?
Thanks!
