Do you buy them a bunch of CFL / LED light bulbs? Do you buy them sealant to weatherize drafty parts of the house? What would you do?
Edit: I should add that I've been thinking about this in the context of how an urban church can help its community prosper. There's 1,000 things that can and aren't being done in the political world to help, but what are some of the small scale changes that can affect a family's financial situation? Obviously, we can't find jobs for everyone, but I wonder if a small investment can improve their weekly income and better their lives. On a macro level, every little bit helps.
