I had a fifth generation iPod Nano since around when it came out, and I loved the thing. The wheel-control scheme worked perfectly for me; I just can't get into the touch-screen scheme for mp3 players. I like to be able to reach into my pocket and be able to feel and press the buttons without taking it out and looking at it.

Anyways, it finally died this year. I've been bearing with my phone for the time being, but it's finally completely run out of space and I still have a ton more music to put on it. I need a new music player so I can keep my music seperate.

I looked how much iPod Nanos go for on Amazon, and it goes for about $85 for the 16gb version (I have enough music that anything less won't cut it). That's a tad pricey for me, but if that's the best I'm going to get, I guess I'll bite the bullet.

I figured I'd ask first before I ordered one if anyone has any recommendations for a different music player.

Things I'd like:

  • Large storage capacity (I'm looking at the 16gb iPod)

  • iTunes compatibility (I manage all of my music via iTunes)

  • Non-touch screen control scheme (I like to be able to maneuver the buttons without looking at them)

My budget: Variable. I think the $85 iPod Nano is a bit pricey, and I'd like something cheaper then that. I certainly won't go above $85, because at that point I might as well just buy the iPod Nano.

Thank you in advance for your time and recommendations.
