A bit background:

Foreigner living in the US, CC info was stolen since March--someone racked up over 5K worth of Lyft rides and UberEats orders. Since all the statements went to my home country and there was an automatic payment plan, I didn't notice till June--this "someone" made 3 large (over $300) transactions within 5 minutes which triggered an alert on my CC. Immediately contacted the CC company/bank, my local police, Lyft and Uber.

Lyft: asked a ton of questions ("why didn't you notice earlier?", "do you think this could be someone you know?", etc.), responded quickly and respectfully, and everything was resolved 10 days ago.

Uber: June 8th: "here's how you reset your password!" two weeks of radio silence later Today: "we can't do anything for you!"

I do not have a Lyft account. I do however had an Uber account. And I honestly feel like I was being punished for having an account with Uber, since their argument was "we can't distinguish your own usage from these fraudulent transactions", even though they were made from two separate accounts.

Any idea on how to deal with this case? Every time I see Uber calling the transactions "legitimate" I just want to cry--I even sent them records where I was traveling and out of the country within the March-June timeframe (meanwhile the thief was still using my CC info to make Uber rides in the US) and they won't acknowledge anything:(

Suggestions/comments are more than welcomed.

Thank you all.
