i bought a new LG Portable AC unit at this big sale where you cant return things. it was completely brand new and unopened(sealed In box). weekend i got home and opened it the inside of the box was a little damp but you could tell at some point out had been wet and had dried. it seemed just like water to me but could have been sonething else. i made sure to get the ac dry of any moisture and plugged it In and it turned on no problem. i then turned the setting to ac and first the fan kicked in and then after a minute or 2 that second sound kicked In that on my other ac turns on right before the cold air comes. i sat there and it best got cold. to my Suprise it was shooting cooler air out of the back hose hook up then the front. out if the blue my son yelled for me as if it was urgent so i just left it on and ran to help him. about 15 minutes later i came back to the ac and it was not blowing out air that was cooler then a basic box fan would blow but still not nearly as cold as a ac should be.
does anyone have any ideas on what might be the problem? and if you have any ideas to try to maybe get it working? or if you think I may be out of luck?
thanks In advance. we had to get it for our 5 and 3 year old to cool their rooms down so this has not been very fun for them.
