Just bought a 2400 sf home (AZ). I've been doing the following to help save money on the electric bill, how much can doing this save me each month, assuming I am making sure it is always done?
-Fans off if we aren't in the room -lights off if we aren't in the room -blinds closed for most of the day in the east side of the house -I'm on a "time of use plan" in AZ where between 3-6pm my electricity is most expensive and much less expensive the rest of the day...bc of this I super cool the house a couple hours before 3-6 so we don't have to run it at all during that time.
Notes: still need to change half of my bulbs to LEDs. Also, had my insulation checked and it looks great and didn't need more.
