I don't think I do, but I figured I'd give it a shot on here. (edit: it was 8 paychecks, not 12)
Open enrollment at the end of 2016, I added my then fiancee as a "domestic partner" to received my company's medical benefits. Little did I know that $300 per paycheck would be deducted (pre-tex) for "imputed income - domestic partner medical benefits."
I immediately talk to our HR/accounting and they tell me that I could remove my then-fiancee as a domestic partner if we either a) provide a marriage certificate or b) she gets a job with a new employer that offers her equal benefits. Well, we got married in March of 2017, at which point I provided my company with a marriage certificate.
I got the OK from my local HR person that everything would be taken care. Corporate HR indicated it would be reflected in my first paycheck of April 2017. April comes and i'm still losing $150 per week. Here we are now, at the end of June, and all I have is a bunch of vague emails from HR about why the imputed income still hasn't been removed.
It's getting so frustrating seeing this money lost every week. Given how long its been, what options do I have to retrieve these funds moving forward? Am I totally fucked?
Thanks reddit!
