Between my Schwab and Vanguard accounts, I have holdings in:
-
Schwab Total Stock Market Index Fund (SWTSX)
-
Vanguard Intermediate-Term Bond Index Fund (VBILX)
-
Schwab S&P 500 Index Fund (SWPPX)
-
And for fun I bought a little Vanguard Russell 1000 Growth ETF (VONG)
While this is only the start, I wanted to better understand what other funds I might consider in order to have a balanced portfolio. Should I be looking to add some form of "Total International Stock Index Fund" or Large/Mid/Small Cap funds? Is diversification of broad index funds like this over-managing things?
