I'm trying to get back on track to continue towards a simple living lifestyle, though I'm having trouble trying to find the right method to get everything going.

Also, the different methods others have been using to start, middle and go on (I'm avoiding the word finish, I'm not sure it's a solid short term "finish" as a opposed to a learned long term habit). I'm also simply curious as to other's timeframes. I saw other poster's somewhat time frame, it appeared to be three months, from being utterly lazy to having less things and feeling contented. I read an article about Fumio Sasaki and his, was about a year. I've ordered his book as I feel his situation is close to mine and I'm curious how he dealt with it (my local and academic libraries didn't have a copy).

I tried the KonMari method but I wasn't able to finish due to accident I had last summer and starting over, seems a bit daunting. I think it's a good system and I hope I can step up to the plate if others don't quite work. I haven't tried the time limit box method yet, so that's on the list.

How long did it take you from start to the moment you felt was enough good?

What sort of method did you find in your busy life to get the ball rolling and keep it going?

Do you have routines & rituals that helped support your ongoing processes?
