I'm moving to a new town and will be buying a lot of stuff, and am considering just giving away older stuff. For example, I've got a $99 microwave from Costco, used for less than a year. Mid-grade cherry dining table, not sure yet what else, but likely to be a bunch of things.
Any risk to using freecycle? Strangers coming to your door, etc. liability if, say, the microwave blows up or something? Or am I just being paranoid?
Or any other suggested places? I could goodwill and get a tax deduction, but some of the stuff is large and I don't want to bother with renting a truck. Thanks for your help!
