Some of the buttons have stopped working after a few years (though I can work around it), it's no longer in production, and all the newer Sansa mp3 players are trash.
Ideally, a good replacement needs (in order of priority):
- Decent sound quality
- an external storage slot (microSD etc)
- Very high song capacity
- relatively long battery life (Ideally >8 hours)
- Light Weight
- support for Rockbox custom firmware
