I'm searching for a quality immersion blender that won't break inside. Have had three break where the motor connects to the driveshaft for the extension. Looking for one with either with a metal coupler inside or with replaceable parts. A standard table-top blender is not an option.
This stick blender will be used heavily in an art studio setting (like 2-3x per day, every week), being used to quickly mix test batches of ceramic glaze approx volume of 1-2 cups. Have gone through 3x stick blenders in about 2 years (Cuisinart and Kitchenaid). The connection inside these is a "dogbone" driveshaft (like an RC car) on a plastic coupler. Dunno how it happens but somehow the coupler ends up getting chewed up and will no longer engage the shaft.
Wondering if there's some ultra HD version out there with a steel coupler that will basically last forever and be undergraduate proof?
