I used to be a very frugal person, but now that I have a good job, I find myself spending very frivolously. It started with a bout of retail therapy after a horrible breakup, but I continue to spend spend spend!!! now that I've (mostly) put that behind me.
I eat out all the time. When I'm bored, I browse Amazon or watch product reviews on Youtube. When I'm feeling depressed, buying fancy new toys gives me a delightful squirt of delicious dopamine.
Thankfully, I have enough disposable income that all this spending hasn't done any real damage, but I want to nip this in the bud before it gets too serious. I am in the process of purchasing two horses (yaaaaay), so my monthly expenses are about to increase dramatically, and I need to be more disciplined about where my money is going.
Any tips or tricks?
