So I recently built a monster table. It's fairly simple - just welded legs and frame, with a wood top. There's a gap between the frame and the top that I originally planned to caulk, but now I'm having second thoughts. I've never been able to caulk anything without making a mess, plus I think it would be kind of sticky/grabby for crumbs and stuff. So I'm looking for alternatives. I was thinking some kind of epoxy, maybe even something from an art store, but I'm really not sure. The top is solid wood glued/screwed into a plywood base, so I don't expect it'll expand much.Needs to be black or able to take paint fairly well. Not sticky/grabby. I don't want it to be a crumb magnet. The width of the gap isn't exactly uniform, so I can't use a thin strip of wood, at least not without way more work than I'd really like to do. I would be open to wood or another solid material plus something else to fill the resulting smaller gap that's left.Needs to be able to be applied with either a syringe, pastry bag, caulk-gun, or something similar.Does anyone have any suggestions?Table: http://ift.tt/2qj0w0Q: http://ift.tt/2rhLBB9 - I still need to wet-sand the top. That's why the finish looks a little wavy... I'm giving it a few extra days to cure... via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2pBWbqz
