Got an e-mail from This Old House yesterday offering a free t-shirt. I always read these things carefully and sure enough there was a "*only pay S&H" tag. No where did it say what the S&H was. I decided to follow the link and got a form to fill out with my personal info, nowhere on that form did it say what S&H was. Once you fill out that info you get a page to enter your CC info for the $1.95 shipping, OK $1.95 ain't bad BUT upon reading the fine print you are actually signing up for This Old House Insider for $83.64 / year and it would automatically renew.
