I have a very old house from the 1890s and two of the 3 fireplaces are a mess and need to be retiled. I wanted an emerald green fireplace for the main and an ivory for the bedroom. The tiles are not around the fireplace yet and I think it'd be easier to paint them before putting them on. I'm just wondering what kind of paint I should use and what glossy coat to finish.
