The Katahdin is a timeless, tried and true boot and LL Beans satisfaction guarantee is ssecond to none. The tone of the boot is just a little to "blah". http://ift.tt/2oJnslk But I'm really digging the color and slimmer look of these Chippewa Homesteads http://ift.tt/2p3YO2B Though the Katahdin is sold by LL Bean it is manufactured by Chippewa. So my question is: Which is a more durable and long lasting boot? Would they be the same grades of leather (both coming from Chippewa and having the same price point)? I also see the Homesteads have a Texon sole. I work on concrete all day so this may factor into my choice........
