I claim no expertise in finance, I'm only 19, but I know enough to take care of myself (not spend more than I have and how to budget myself, etc.). I have so many friends with huge amounts of credit card debt already. One of them actually put her card in a glass of water in the freezer so she wouldn't use it. What is the polite way to say you can't handle having a credit card? Also, how do people not know the difference between a credit and a debit card or even the costs of having a credit card? These are very basic and important things that should be taught in school. (At least where I'm from in the U.S. we don't have a required finance class.) How are these people going to survive on their own? Is there any classes or videos I can show them that can explain the basics to them?
