Long time reddit reader who finally made an account! I have scoured the productivity, organization and financial help subreddits and have learned so much helpful information. My question for any readers out there is this:
My husband and I are newly married and are both turning 30 next year. We would like to focus on checking off all of the "adult" things to set up ourselves up for financial success and are very beginners right now. Any lists or ideas out there? For example, in the next few months we are both setting up 401Ks, getting whole life and term life insurance policies and are saving up for a downpayment. We have also started a filing system with copies of all important documents.
What are all of the steps we need to take be financially set? What are all of the important documents that we should keep copies of? What are other steps we can take to set up our "adult" lives?
