a few months I started delivering groceries for Shipt (app based service) on the side. I have a regular 9-5 job where my main income comes from and this is just a little something extra to keep me busy and get a little extra cash (I anticipate earning an extra $2-3k over the course of the year). I am considered self-employed with Shipt.

Looking at the IRS website I see "As a self-employed individual, generally you are required to file an annual return and pay estimated tax quarterly." Does the quarterly tax apply to me or is this more for someone whose main source of income is self-employed? Can I just withdraw extra from my W-4 at my 9-5 job over the course of the year instead?
