I'm in college, with an immense amount of debt, but a reasonable amount of cash in my bank account thanks to student loans. My parents notice this, and often come to me when they are about to fall behind on payments.

When it started they would usually pay me back in a timely manner, but eventually it got to the point where they would promise to pay me back by next week, then push it back another week, then another, and next think you know it had been a full year.

Now it's gotten so bad they don't even ask. They take money out of my account, sometimes it gets paid back, but other times it doesn't. My mom is the one who opened this account, so she has full access. Not to mention she works for the credit union where the account is held.

I would like to prevent them from accessing my account, but I have to give them the account and routing number since I'm on their insurance and need to pay it.

Is there any way to keep them out?

TL;DR Parents have access to bank account, taking money without permission. They need account/routing number for insurance and mom works at the bank, how do I keep them out?

P.S. Even worse is that my dad does my taxes, and they claim me (even though I provide 100% of my support) and I was supposed to get about $2500 back for tuition reimbursement. Since they claimed me, this goes into their account. My dad notified me that my federal and state should be coming into my account soon, which it did, and when the tuition reimbursement wasn't there I asked him about it. He ignored me for two days and acted strange on the phone when he finally called me. He says that he will get it to me, but it's been a week and he still hasn't. I'm beginning to think he purposefully stole it and hoped I wouldn't notice. I have a feeling that he had already spent it by the time I noticed which is why he can't get it to me. If he has it, all they have to do is transfer it to my account, which clearly they have no issues transferring money out of.

This is the last year I'm letting them do my taxes, and I already have a second bank account. I don't dare keep more than $600 (enough for my bi-yearly insurance payment) in the other one. But they still borrow from it and it's frustrating.
