I don't know a lot about finances, and this isn't necessarily for me personally, and she hasn't shared a lot so far (hoping to talk about it tomorrow), but this doesn't sound good at all. All of the money in her bank was taken (she only had $200 in there at the time). Can someone explain to me what could potentially happen here, and put some things into perspective for how bad this is? I feel terrible learning about this despite being ignorant on finances. I live with her, so it wouldn't be good for me either technically if something were to happen to her. I stay at home and am basically a babysitter for my autistic brother, but I'm considering getting a job after learning this, and finding someone else to watch him while I commit the rest of my pay from my job to help my mom pay this off. What can we do about this, and how bad is it? I'm sorry for the lack of information. She hasn't shared much yet, and is depressed right now. I also apologize if the correct flair isn't set.
