Debating on purchasing a home (currently renting). I am unsure if it's the right decision or how to currently asses my situation.

I know some of you love this stuff, personally it gives me anxiety dealing with money and big decisions, hopefully you know more than me and want to share your wisdom.

biographic: single 36/m Location: Middle america metro area (lowish cost) Income: $110k/yr +5k bonus Rent: $1250 Vehicle loan $500/m Misc loans cc: $4k Student loan: $4k Assets:
401K $23k (currently adding $850/mth) 403b $12k Vanguard Roth IRA: $14k RSU employeer stock $5k

Personal: I hate renting a 800sft apartment for that much money, and it kind of makes me feel like a looser at 36 to not own a home. I am not from this area and would be open to moving if the right opportunity came along.

I don't like finance, I left a relationship last year in which it was all managed for me, I now have everything set on auto-pay and rarely engage with the money, I spend all my energy trying to keep it coming in and spending it.

I haven't had a vacation in 6 years, I have never taken a real life changing breath taking vacation. It's time, I am burning out at work and need a break.

Given my situation of needing to have more space, wanting to feel better about myself and needing a vacation and my current income/assets. What should I be doing/ not doing. All comments greatly appreciated!
