Hey Reddit,
I have recently just quit my job in the city to do some travelling and write a book. For the past 5 years I was an Investment Consultant, investing money on my clients behalf. Over this period I also completed the CFA qualifications.
When I was getting into the industry, I remember that there were no decent books that offered a simple introduction to the world of finance. So my aim is to write a book explaining finance in the most simple terms possible as well as offering some advice on how to get a job in the industry.
The book is aimed at anyone wanting to starting learning about finance, as well as people hoping to start a career in the industry. It is not a guide to investing, more an explanation of how it all works.
My question to you is this:
What key topics would you like to see in the book?
For the more experienced members - what topics would you have liked to have found an easy to understand explanation on when you were starting out?
Any help would be hugely appreciated. I have only just started writing the first few chapters so your suggestions will make a big impact on the book!
Thank you!!!
