Hi! I'm a student from the US who will be attending university in Montreal next year. Thanks to a fairly generous entrance bursary from my uni, I will be paying about $16.5k to $18k USD for tuition and room and board combined. It could be even less than $16.5k as my lease is 11 months and I could try to sublet it for the three months I'm not in school. I do not have a meal plan as I am a vegan and chose a residence that did not require a meal plan. I'm hoping to keep my groceries at around $50 (~$67 cad). I'm also planning on doing work study. So here are some questions I have
- How do I cut down on my grocery bills?
- What are some good budgeting apps?
- How much money from work should you put aside for yourself (for partying, buying clothes, eating out etc.)?
- Another other miscellaneous tips for cutting costs while in uni?
