Hi /r/DIY!I'm looking for some help with a project I'm doing at home, where I want to seal some steel tubes into a stone wall which already has holes (from the scaffolding used to make the walls some 150ish years ago). Here's what I would like it to look like in the end: http://ift.tt/2oyEPZg are four of these holes, and I want to use these steel tubes to make a lumber rack on which to store long planks and 2x4s, so they all should withstand about 200lbs each. The tubes are 30/30/1,5mm (1,25/1,25/whatever the fuck 1,5mm is in inches), and they'll be about 20-30cm (8-12in) deep inside the hole (which I think would largely allow to withstand the weight of the wood).I thought of using mortar to seal the tubes in the holes but I'm not sure it's the right way to go, or really how to do it in such deep holes (about 40cm/16in as seen on the pictures), as I'm not all that familiar with the process to begin with. What's the right way to go? How do you guys think I should do?Thanks a lot, I'm hoping someone with more experience can be of good advice in here ;) via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2pia0qp
