If you have a united mileage plus card you can redeem your mileage points for giftcards like amazon and others.
Vote with your wallet by redeeming your mileage points for a giftcard of your choice, then after getting your giftcard call up united and tell them you wish to cancel your card and why.
This is one way to vote with your pocketbook if you don't fly with them often but you have one of their cards and think their actions are wrong
