Like many of you I'm sure, I try to wear my clothes for a long time before I replace them. I also mostly buy clothes used. What I'm saying is, my clothes are usually old. I also don't usually go in for makeup/jewelry/heels/hair product that make women's outfits look "polished". I've found that some clothes are SURPRISINGLY worse for my use case than others. Jersey is especially bad, I've found. Every jersey dress I've owned looks faded and stretched and worn as it gets older, and the oft-recommended black jersey tee tends to stretch and fade as well. It varies a lot on gender and climate, but what types of clothes have you found that still look reasonably presentable and put together after you've washed and worn them for a few years?
